Under John Hayden's direction the Harmony Hawks have won the Plateau AA Championship in the five-state Central States Region.  He is an active clinician at choral festivals in the United States and Canada, an arranger, festival judge, and has been on the faculty at the Barbershop Harmony sponsored “Director’s College”. 

John teaches vocal music at Benton Community Middle School/High school in Van Horne, Iowa.

Lee Thomsen's love for the barbershop style began in 1998 while he was still in high school. Lee has sung baritone in two different top 10 Central States district quartets: Take Charge and Night & Day. Lee teaches Music at Starry Elementary in the Marion Independent School District. Lee’s other musical activities include giving voice lessons and playing drums for his church.
