Erbe continued...
didn't want to give away the joke by
telegraphing the show's contents, so we chose "Get Happy" as
the show's name. If you've seen the flyer, you may have noticed that
one member of the Happy Face Quartet is wearing a hard hat. That's
our little inside joke.
Guest quartet this year is
Downstate Express of Rochester, MN. In 2004, Downstate
Express won the International Seniors Quartet Championship at the
Mid-Winter Convention in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The show
committee has been meeting since July. Thanks to Wendell Aldrich,
Dean Beckman, Gary Glockhoff, Allan Harms, Tom Harrington, John
Hayden, Bob Kerdus, Greg Koenigs, Gary Lindsay, Dick Ormond, Barb
Read, Tom Read, John Roltgen, and Ryan Schlader for their hard
work and many hours spent on the show.
Performance
dates are Friday, April 21, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 22, 2:30 and
7:30 p.m. Tickets are already available at the Theatre Cedar Rapids
box office. Prices this year are $17 for all performances, $5 for
students.
