Bob Nance's wife Verna is doing just super after her back surgery. Verna was in the hospital (St Luke’s) for about two weeks. During that time she had two surgeries’s within three  days on her back. Verna came home on January 22, 2007 in the afternoon. Bob said that she’s getting around slowly with the help of a walker and is very glad to be home. But Bob says that he is missing the hospital meals………….he-he-he…..No he’s not……….Hang in there Verna & Bob

Reed Leamon was in the hospital at (St Luke’s) for two weeks. Reed came home on January 22, 2007 He’s getting stronger each day…We’ve been thinking of you Reed…

Buzz Brown's wife Arletta is doing well. Her spirits are high. They bought a new Split King Size hospital like bed. Buzz can raise the head of the bed or raise the feet end, on her side or his side. Sounds like fun!!! About two or three weeks ago Buzz & Arletta went to IC for check up. While Buzz was waiting for Arletta, the doctor came up to Buzz and said to him that you are a outstanding husband caring for Arletta the way he does…the doctor also said that most men would have gave up under scenario’s that he has been thru.

Bob Snow had open heart surgery on Tuesday January 23, 2007 He had a quadruple bypass. The surgery went ok. Bob is now home, his recovery is doing fair. The doctor said that he had no heart attack. Was talking to Dave Byrant and he said that Bob was getting ornery now because they took his smokes away from him. That’s a good sign that he’s getting better…He’s got a lot of family there to look after him. Get Well Fast Bob. You’ll be back to singing in no time…

Here is the last news released from Buzz on Arletta's condition....

Family and Friends,

Arletta was awakened about 1 AM on Saturday with some discomfort in her chest that felt like she had a rubber band around her. It seemed to go away and she went back to sleep again, and then had another episode during the afternoon on Saturday, so we thought that this could be something serious or potentially serious. We got her into the car and went to the hospital about 7 PM, and they said we should treat it as a possible heart problem, and did some Xrays and a CT scan and found that she had a blood clot in each lung and in her leg. She was admitted and they gave her some medication interveniously to begin the breakup of the clots.

She is in no pain now as of Sunday(03/11/07), and is in good spirits. She has not been eating well, and has had some stomach problems, which is all part of the ALS experience.

She has her cell phone in the hospital, and can visit with friends briefly that way. As of Sunday mid afternoon, the Doctor who will be in charge of her treatment in the hospital had not yet reviewed the tests and stopped in to see her. Her blood pressure is very good, and her oxygen level is 100 or slightly below on the monitor. I will keep you posted as to her progress.

Please keep her in your prayers.

Buzz

Buzz arrived to Thursday evening practice(03/15/07) to announce the doctor's had found ovarian cancer and that Arletta would likely not survive the surgery. At this time hospice is being considered to assist with her comfort.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Arletta and Buzz.
