Sunshine Report
By Mark Potter, Sunshine Chairman

Well I'm recovering well from my round of Influenza A and bronchitis. I am still fighting a little bit of the cough.

Buzz Brown wife, Arletta, is still holding her own. The doctors are still running more tests. They are leaning toward Lou Gehrig’s disease but they are not one hundred percent sure. Arletta calls it the nerve disease. She is still in good sprits and doing the best she can. They will be going up to Rochester to the Mayo Clinic for another option.

Dean Kruse wife, Mary, is still in the hospital at St Luke’s. They have moved her to progress care unit. They are now trying to get her up and get her strength back. She will be there for maybe two to three weeks.

Bill Cubbage was in the hospital for nineteen days with another infection. They did many tests to pinpoint the problem, but not did find any. They gave him a lot of drugs which seemed to do the trick. Bill is now back home and trying to recover back to his old self.

Dick Ormond wife, Kristin: no update on the cancer at is time.

Central States District Sends Three
Quartets To International Contest

The Central States District qualified three quartets for the International Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana this July. Vocal Spectrum, 3 Men and A Melody, and 12th Street Rag all scored well over the 1824 point level to qualify. The Noise Boys just missed the cut by four points with a score of 1820. With a couple of district contest to go there is a good chance The Noise Boys will qualify with a wildcard spot.
