I only have a couple of things to report this month. Dean Kruse’s wife, Mary, went back to St Luke’s Thursday May 11, 2006. The doctors are trying different things to help her get back on her feet. Congratulations goes out to Jerry
Kilgore and his wife, Sara. They are proud parents of baby boy,
Owen Mathew Kilgore, who was born on April 26. I imagine
Jerry will be bringing Owen in as a new member in about 15 years or
so.

My wife, Arletta, went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, a couple weeks ago to get a second opinion on what her condition was. She had additional blood work, consultation with three doctors for breathing, nerve deterioration and other tests. Dr. Sorenson stated that she does have Lou Gehrigs disease or ALS. This particular medical problem has no definitive procedure for diagnosis either to prove that she does or does not have it, but the continuing deterioration in strength and muscle control strongly indicated that she has the affliction. There is no medication or treatment that will help. The doctor asked if we had a first floor bedroom, bathroom and kitchen that she should have as her condition worsens, and of course we do. Modifications to the house will be needed as her strength worsens, and those will be done. We both would appreciate your prayers.
