audience appeal. They had the most
imaginative, best costumed, best choreographed presentation of all
with their "fish" program, as demonstrated by the vast number of
demands for photographs after the competition. I am sure they worked
very hard on their program, but it was work on having
fun.

What an international
convention! This by far was the most competitive and entertaining
international competition I have ever seen. This was only my fifth
international convention I've ever been to but comparing this
international with Portland (2002), Louisville (2004), and Salt Lake
City (2005) this by far was thee best!

As probably have
heard by now that our very own Central States District quartet,
Vocal Spectrum, won the

International Quartet Contest as predicted by the
Hawkseye Swami. On my score sheet I had Vocal Spectrum and O.C.
Times neck to neck, but in the end the judges scored Vocal
Spectrum six points better than Max Q. Rounding out the top
five was O.C. Times in third place followed by Metropolis and
Flipside.
