eleventh place and were the mike testers for the quartet finals. They missed the cut for the top ten by ten points.

Placing fourteenth in the contest was Three Men and A Melody, only 23 points behind 12th Street Rag. It was a great week for all three Central States District quartets! There is a good possibility we may see both quartets in the quartet finals next year.

In the International Chorus Contest the Vocal Majority won its eleventh gold medal beating the Westminster Chorus by only 17 points. This may have been the closest contest the Vocal Majority has ever been in. The "boys" from Westminster gave the VM a scare by putting together a very entertaining and clean-sounding package. Westminster put 56 men on stage, only two were above the age of 30.

One last word on the Westminster Chorus, the Ambassadors of Harmony already know they will be in a dogfight with them next year in Denver. Knowing Jim

Henry, director of the Ambassadors of Harmony, he will have them well prepared for next year's contest. Should be great one.
